Contributor Day is one of the most impactful and community-driven parts of WordCamp Pokhara 2025. It’s happening on June 13th, and we’re officially inviting passionate WordPress community members to apply as Table Leads for this special day of contribution, collaboration, and community building.

Are you someone who wants to help others get involved in the WordPress project? Do you have experience in any core Make WordPress teams — like themes, plugins, translations, design, or patterns? If yes, we’d love to have you lead a table!

When and Where?

Date: June 13, 2025 (Friday)

Location: Pokhara Event Center (Location on Map)

Contributor Day is a full-day event where WordPress enthusiasts of all backgrounds come together to contribute to the WordPress open-source project — regardless of experience level.

What Does a Table Lead Do?

As a Table Lead, you’ll guide a group of contributors at your table by:

• Introducing them to your area of contribution
• Helping them get set up with accounts (WordPress.org, GitHub, etc.)
• Providing beginner-friendly tasks as well as advanced ones
• Answering questions and encouraging collaboration
• Keeping a light record of what your group worked on

You’ll be the point of contact for your table before and during the event — but don’t worry, you won’t be alone! Our Program Team will fully support you with logistics, documentation, and preparations.

Planned Tables

We’re planning the following tables for Contributor Day this year:

• Photos – For photographers interested in contributing to the WordPress Photo Directory
• Polyglots – Translating WordPress into Nepali and other languages
• Plugin – Writing, reviewing, or improving plugins
• Theme – Theme review, development, and FSE exploration
• Basic WordPress – Helping beginners set up and explore WordPress
• FSE (Full Site Editing) – Contributing to the new block-based editor and testing themes
• Patterns – Designing and contributing block patterns to the pattern directory
