A Family-Friendly Space at WordCamp Pokhara

Because Parenting Doesn’t Pause for Conferences

At WordCamp Pokhara 2025, we’re making space for everyone — including the smallest attendees.

We know how challenging it can be to attend conferences as a parent, especially with young children in tow. That’s why, for the first time in WordCamps in Nepal, we’re introducing a dedicated Childcare Center — a quiet, comfortable zone created just for families.

What’s Inside?

We’ve prepared two designated rooms, each equipped with:

  • Beds and tables for resting or feeding
  • Air conditioning for a cool, quiet environment
  • Attached bathrooms for convenience
  • Ample space for breastfeeding, diaper changes, and naps

While these rooms aren’t play areas, they offer the perfect space for little ones to rest, recharge, and reset — and for parents to take a breather too.

Supervised, But With You

Please note: for safety and comfort, parents must stay with their children at all times while using the space. These rooms are not staffed or supervised by volunteers — instead, they’re designed as parent-led zones for care and quiet time.

Food and drinks are allowed, so feel free to bring snacks, bottles, or anything else your child might need throughout the day.

Easy to Find, Easy to Use

Located just beside our conference halls, the Childcare Center is easy to access when you need a break. If you’re having trouble finding it, just ask one of our volunteers — they’ll be happy to guide you.

We’re proud to build a more inclusive, welcoming WordCamp — where learning and community don’t require you to pause your parenting journey.

So if you’re wondering, “Can I really attend WordCamp with my little one?” — the answer is: Yes, you can.

We can’t wait to welcome you — and your tiny co-attendee — to WordCamp Pokhara 2025.
